SHiFT Interest Groups  ____________________________________________

Introduction

Many existing organizations are involved in critical aspects of job and career change.  SHiFT's goal is to link its members with high quality resources that facilitate the transition to meaningful work that connects skills and passions. 

So far, four SHiFT Interest Groups (SIGs) have formed, based on interest areas identified in a survey of SHiFT participants:

• Entrepreneurship — starting your own business
• Health — cultivating wellness and good health care for everyone
• Environmental Sustainability — doing good for the earth and ourselves
• The Arts — expressing the creativity of yourself and others

With a SHiFT volunteer as leader, each group schedules speaker forums and networking events.  Group activities might also include job shadowing, workplace tours, or referrals for informational interviews. 

With the aim of making SIGs self-sustaining, SHiFT is seeking sponsors for each interest group.
